Finding a Part Time Job in London ?

By: Grant Barnstaple

Trying to find part time jobs in London may appear daunting at first sight because it's a very lage place with so many different places you can look, it's stressful to decide where to start the whole plan.

I have put this short article together to give a good chance to you in finding the appropriate part time job in London.

The first thing that we need to do is to make a plan. Get a sheet of scrap paper or notedpad, and copy the following questions into it and try to answer them:

Approximately how many hours do you want to work ?

What times of day are you happy to work ?
Are you happy travelling more than a couple of miles ?
What type of work will you not do ?

Now that you have answered these main points you should have a much better idea about your time of your working like and what jobs you can perform, now we can proceed with the process of thinking about different types of job to get paid for doing in the city of London.

Here some part time jobs ideas for you:

1. Performing duties in a bar serving drinks.
2. Performing general kitchen duties, like washing and cleaning, preparing foods
3. Completing tasks at the front of a restaurant as a waiter or waitress
4. Performing duties in a warehouse packing goods into parcels
5. Performing duties on a till in a local supermarket
6. Completing tasks for a takeaway
7. Handing out fliers for a night club or bar promoter
8. Working duties at a shop, restaurant, private home or office

You can make a choice from the 8 ideas I have given above, or consider your own ideas and jot them down on your sheet.

The next step is to get the Job, I will now continue with my final nugget of advice on this subject.

The best way of getting a part time job, in my mind is to spend an entire day making your way around london and personally asking the owners of a business about them having a job on offer. To present yourself well on this occassion is a tiny gesture and by far not a waste of your time. A second step that you should do is to complete a sheet of paper, within which you print a well printed Name and Address, and your contact details, I am not talking about a full CV, just a bonus that you leave with a the manager of the business. Possibly competition exists with other individuals for this job and to have a copy of your sheet with your address details. This will provide you with an better chance.

By performing the task in this way it has also served me well when I was searching for for a part time job in London. In the end I was using the same strategy to work in a student kitchen cooking pizzas part time.

I hope that you achieve this goal of finding a great part time job in london and I wish you the best of luck and good fortune.
