Checking Your Credit Report Will Affect Your Credit Score

People use their credit cards all the time without realizing what effect it is having on their credit score. Many people do not even know what a credit score is or how to use their credit report to determine what their score actually is.

That is why there are so many credit report commercials on T.V. I bet everyone has that freecreditreport.com song in their head..

You should understand your credit report determines your credit score which is then used by creditors to base your credit qualifications. You will see things on your credit report that are really an accounting of how you have used credit in the past.
Creditors can see how well you have made payments on old and present accounts, who is checking your credit now, and past and present employers.

It is interesting that something as simple as checking your credit report too often can drive your credit score down. Do not let anyone check your credit if you do not want them too.

Everyone is allowed to access their credit reports through the three primary credit reporting agencies which are Equifax, Experian and Transunion. Contact the reporting agency that you use, if not all three, if you see any incorrect data.

By paying attention to your credit report you can do thing to improve your credit score!
